ABOUT US
Flor del Prado was born in the United Winegrowers Cooperative of the City of Cipolletti 70 years ago.
It was the traditional table wine that, in demijohns, bottles, and even boxes, accompanied celebrations, family barbecues, and gatherings. "Flor del Prado, flor de vino, Sí señor!" was its jingle, with a melody that even the most forgetful still remember. After a few years, the winery closed and its facilities fell into disuse.
Decades later, Luciano Fernández, grandson and son of farmers and winegrowers from Río Negro, began planning a winemaking venture on his family's land, located in a privileged location: just meters from the confluence of the Limay and Neuquén Rivers. Five years later, his work bore fruit; Luciano produced his first wine, using the Pinot Noir vintage, and decided to name it Flor del Prado in honor of his grandfather, Félix Antonio Amoruso, a member of the United Winegrowers Cooperative of the City of Cipolletti since its inception.
In this way, Flor del Prado is reborn among pears, apples, almonds, figs, and plums. It blooms from the confluence of two rivers, from the richness of its fertile soil. It tells the story of the ancient winemakers' passion for the land and carries in each of its vines the secret of eternal good taste. That's how our wines are, that's how we are.

Flor del Prado is a small family winery in development, focused on producing high-end wines from the heart of the Alto Valle de Río Negro.
It is the only one located at the confluence of the Limay and Neuquén rivers, taking advantage of the benefits of the valley floor. In 2013, after years of effort and work, we began developing our facilities and launched our first line of wines with the same name. This includes Pinot Noir varieties and a delicate selection of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Malbec Rosé.
In 2017, we began remodeling an old shed on our farm to convert it into our winemaking facility. There, together with our winemaker, we carry out the main processes of barrel winemaking.
Just a few meters from our production room is "El Rancho," an old farmhouse where our administration operates, and where we also hold tastings, barbecues, and welcome guests.

We are a team of people experienced in the treatment of land, vines, and winemaking.
The combination of each individual's knowledge allows our wine to convey the philosophy of quality inherited from our grandparents, in harmony with today's technology.
Luciano Fernández – Agricultural producer
Born and raised in this Valley, Luciano is the soul behind Flor del Prado. He knows every corner of this land because he's walked it forever, because he's lived here since birth. He's the one who dreams big and works with his hands, the one who proposes and drives, the one who persists, the one who never gives up.
Together with the farm team, he makes everything happen: planting with optimism, pruning with care, looking at the sky anxiously when storms approach, and thanking each harvest as if it were a miracle.
For Luciano, each harvest is a love story with the land. And so, with that unquenchable passion, he continues year after year to pursue this dream that grows with each bunch of grapes, with each new bottle labeled.
María Marta Martínez – Bachelor of Communication Sciences
She ensures that our story is well told. She is the one who observes with sensitivity, who investigates, who is inspired by the smallest details to communicate our spirit and our Patagonian essence.
He finds beauty in the simplest things: in every bud that thrives, in the rough hands of the one who prunes, in the flower that represents us. Because he has known this land since its beginnings. Because he also saw it born.
With a gaze filled with tenderness, she gives voice to our history, to that deep bond that roots us to these lands and to this dream that lives within us, and that becomes reality day by day.
With a long history of rediscovering the world one vine at a time, we are a family business inspired by the wisdom of ancient Patagonian winemakers. More than a production process, we consider wine an art.
We combine tradition with technology to produce high-end wines, an exquisite reflection of a unique land. Thus, a wine inspired by our history is reborn, and a new story inspired by our wine is born; just as the flowers that beautify our meadows are reborn year after year.
Our flower is that of chicory. With summer, thousands of violet brushstrokes bloom everywhere: on the trellises of fruit trees, along the edges of irrigation ditches, among the fig and almond trees. They come to enhance the green of the alfalfa and attract the attention of curious onlookers who ask, "What's that flower called?"
