In the same Cipolletti soil where wine grapes were grown more than sixty years ago, our future harvests ripen today.
Mount and Vineyard
Comenzamos a cultivar en el año 2005, en las chacras El Puente y La Morena, aprovechando las condiciones únicas de estas tierras.
En el año 2013, luego de años de esfuerzo y trabajo, comenzamos a desarrollar nuestras instalaciones y lanzamos la primera línea de vinos homónima. Ésta incluye las variedades de Pinot Noir y una delicada selección de Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc y Malbec Rosé.
Nuestros viñedos en producción son tres; en la chacra La Morena, crecen las uvas que le darán el espíritu a nuestro Pinot Noir y en la chacra El Puente, plantamos Cabernet Franc y Malbec.
We also cultivate our vineyards with cutting-edge technology. We employ a novel, high-density 1 by 0.8 trellis training system, and to keep our plants evergreen and vigorous, we use mechanical irrigation with individual 2-liter/h drippers.
Location
Our vineyards are located in the Río Negro town of Cipolletti (38º 56′ South latitude and 68º 00′ West longitude).
En pleno corazón del Alto Valle, un área que posee condiciones óptimas para el cultivo de la vid. Ésta área está ubicada sobre los ríos Negro superior, Neuquén y Limay inferior, y abarca los Departamentos de General Roca (Provincia de Río Negro) y Confluencia (Provincia de Neuquén)
Weather
In the Alto Valle the climate is continental, temperate and desert.
The average annual temperature is 15°C, with a frost-free period of 190 days. Rainfall is scarce (annual average of 197.7 mm), and summers are dry with warm days and cool nights, with a temperature range of 18°C.
Suelo
These soils border the banks of the Negro and Neuquén rivers and belong to the low terraces (zones).
Their width varies, as they are occasionally interrupted by secondary channels. Infiltration rates are rapid, and they have a low water-retention capacity. Above the original Patagonian rock, there is a layer of pebbles, and above this, a thinner layer of smaller-grained material, such as sand, silt, and clay, to a lesser extent.
